A 1-year Research assistant position is offered in the Heterogeneous biocatalysis group of CIC biomaGUNE to do experimental tasks and support other researchers of the group.

The research assistant will help in the experimental work developed in the laboratory; microbial fermentation, protein expression, DNA purification, and protocols of molecular biology. Experience in chromatography methods is also desired to analyze enzyme reactions.

One postdoctoral position is available in the Heterogenous biocatalysis group to discover and engineering new C-C forming enzymes for their further integration in artificial metabolic networks

The project aims at discovering and engineering new C-C forming enzymes for the condensation of simple organic compounds into multi-functional and branched molecules. This project will be developed in the framework of ERC-Consolidator project (METACELL)  funded by the European Union in the contexto of the Horizon 2020 program.

One postdoctoral position is available in the Heterogenous biocatalysis group to depolymerize polyurethanes using enzymes as catalysts. This project aims to exploit the biocatalysis in the circular economy of plastics

The project aims at screening new enzymes to 1) fabricate renewable monomers for the polymerization of polyurethenes, and 2) degrade polyurethenes into ready-to-use building blocks to close the loop of the polyurethenes. This project will be developed in the framework of a TED project funded by the Spanish Research agency in coordination with Prof. Sardon and Prof.
