Animal Unit Platform from CIC biomaGUNE

Animal experimentation is a scientific discipline which aim is the use of animals in research. Although animal experimentation is a controversial topic, the use of animals in scientific research has been decisive understanding the organisms functioning, and developing many human and veterinary treatments and medicines currently used.
During the last 20 years, the way in which animal experimentation is carried out has undergone important changes and now a day is a highly regulated scientific practice.
The objective of this seminar is to show those scientific members of CIC biomaGUNE who are not involved in this activity, how animals are cared for, maintained, and used in the research carried out in our Center.
