Guillermo González-Rubio, alumni from CIC biomaGUNE's Bionanoplasmonics group who obtained his PhD degree in 2017, has been awarded the European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant. This competitive funding is an important recognition for his research career.  

The ERC Starting Grant is designed to support early-career researchers with 2-7 years of experience post-PhD, providing up to €1.5 million in funding over five years.
