Molecular and functional biomarkers are indicators used in medical and biological research to provide information about biological processes, diseases or conditions in an organism. These biomarkers can be measured in various biological samples, such as blood or tissues, and play a crucial role in diagnosis, disease monitoring and personalized medicine. Moreover, it is the name of our research group that brings together different researchers with a multidisciplinary profile.
In this talk, I will explain with several examples how nanotechnology is used in our group both to visualize and analyze these biomarkers and to design new treatments for chronic diseases based on the previous understanding of their nano-bio interactions.
