DNA nanotechnology provides a versatile toolbox for bottom-up fabrication of plasmonic nanostructures and materials. In this talk I will discuss utility of DNA for fabrication of plasmonic systems with novel stimuli and optical responses and will present several examples from our recent work including chiral plasmonic assemblies, metal shells with tailored complex morphologies and electric field responsive plasmonic surfaces.
