In this seminar, I shall present the structures of two unique eukaryotic protein complexes determined to high-resolution by cryo-electron microscopy. The structures provide unprecedented views of the mechanism of action of two macromolecular machines that are key for cell physiology and are involved in the survival of tumor cells.
