We are proud to announce that Dr. Guillermo Moreno Alcántar will join CIC biomaGUNE in January 2026 as a Ramón y Cajal Fellow and Group Leader of the new Supramolecular Inorganic Biosystems research group.

Dr. Moreno Alcántar is a chemist by training and obtained his PhD from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

He has been a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Strasbourg and Alexander von Humboldt fellow at the Technical University of Munich, working in the interface of inorganic supramolecular chemistry and biology.

We look forward to welcoming him to the institute in the new year.
