Cristina Simó Costa, former PhD student at CIC biomaGUNE and currently Postdoctoral researcher at Washington University, has been honored with the prestigious ESMI award for her excellent PhD thesis about the use of nanomotors as potential theranostic agent for bladder cancer, presented at the 19th European Molecular Imaging Meeting (EMIM). The event took place in Porto, Portugal, from March 12th to 15th, 2024, gathering over 1000 international participants.
EMIM, known for its collaborative and inclusive environment, has grown significantly while maintaining its lively atmosphere. It serves as a vital platform for multidisciplinary exchange and collaboration in the field of imaging science. The conference covers the latest advancements in morphological, functional, and molecular imaging across various scales, including mass spectroscopy, microscopy, and noninvasive imaging techniques in both preclinical and exploratory clinical studies. Additionally, it showcases innovative strategies for image-guided therapies and theranostics.
