The PhD thesis presented by Guillermo González-Rubio entitled "Synthesis and Assembly of Uniform Plasmonic Gold Nanostructures for Biomedical Applications", has been selected for the Extraordinary thesis award of the year from the Chemistry Faculty at the Complutense University of Madrid. The thesis was carried out at the Complutense University of Madrid and the Bionanoplasmonics Laboratory at CIC biomaGUNE, under the joint supervision of Andrés Guerrero-Martínez and Luis Liz-Marzán.
