A PhD fellowship between the Molecular and Functional Biomarker Group at CIC biomaGUNE, led by Dr. Jesús Ruiz-Cabello, and the Neurogenetics, RNA biology and Therapies Group at Biogipuzkoa HRI, led by Dr. Lorea Blazquez

The selected candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research in developing novel therapies and nanoformulations for various diseases, with a specific focus on glioblastoma. The work will involve investigating innovative drug delivery routes, leveraging advanced imaging technologies, imaging-guided therapy, and exploring disease models that mimic human pathology.

Key Features

  • Multidisciplinary Environment: Integration into two research teams with overlapping expertise and a shared focus on advanced therapeutic approaches.

         • Exposure: Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art imaging and cutting-edge methodologies in the fields of nanomedicine and disease modeling.

Required Education Level:

A BSc degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Biochemistry or similar background with a finished MSc degree in Biological Sciences or Biomedicine.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

 

  • We will consider previous experience in molecular biology and publications and communications to scientific meetings will be positively evaluated.
  • Good communication skills in English will be appreciated.
Duration:
  • TYPE OF CONTRACT (LEGAL REFERENCE): 4-year temporary contract (2 in CIC-biomaGUNE and 2 in Biogipuzkoa HRI)
  • WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time
  • EXPECTED START DATE: 01/02/2025
