The Deputy for Economic Promotion and Strategic Projects, Unai Andueza, welcomed yesterday six outstanding researchers who are joining Gipuzkoa’s R&D&I network through the Fellows programme, together with representatives from the research centres where they will carry out their work. 

During the meeting, Research Associate Tamara Gómez Dacoba presented in detail the project she will lead at the Soft Matter Nanotechnology Lab in CIC biomaGUNE, which focuses on the development of nanoparticles for the generation of CAR-T cells in vivo. Dr. Gómez Dacoba holds a PhD in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. She has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), developing drug delivery systems to target hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells in vivo for genetic diseases such as sickle cell anemia.
