ProteNano-MAG and nano-roBIOts projects
The research focuses on the design of high-quality nanomaterials either created by biological entities or bioinspired by them. The Nano-roBIOts project (Leonardo Fellowship 2022 for Young Researchers and Cultural Creators, BBVA Foundation) aims to design multifunctional biological nanorobots for combating diseases using magnetotactic bacteria. On the other hand, the ProteNano-MAG project (Project 101067742, MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship) seeks the green synthesis of high-quality magnetic nanoparticles inspired by these microorganisms for theranostic applications using CTPR proteins.
